Ayodhya Kumar Krishnam Shetty is directing and producing the film titled ‘Minugurulu’ with 40 blind children as main cast and Ashish Vidhyarthi, Raghuveer Yadav and Suhasini Maniratnam in supporting roles. The film has completed its formalities and ready for release on November 29. So on this occasion a press meet was organised to announce the release date.
Producer cum director Ayodhya Kumar Krishnam Shetty said, “Minugurulu is like an epic film with 40 visually impaired children acting in it. Several prominent actors too are part of this film. We are making efforts to release it on 29th of November. This film was selected for seven international film festivals. I met the Chief Minister regarding this and I hope he will provide the subsidy for it. It’s not a sad film but a thrilling film. We have cut 20 minutes length of the film for the sake of screening in International Children’s Film Festival. We have even removed two songs in it and sent the film for the screening. Our film will be screened at 12 noon on 18th at Ranga theater in Jeedimetla and at 12 noon on 19th in Imax theater.”
Srinivas said, “I worked for ‘Golkonda High School’ and after that I got commited to this film. I’m very happy that this film has been selected for the Children’s Film Festival.”
Rishini said, “This is my first film and this is the only film that has been made without any sympathy on the blind people.”
