Actor-politician Pawan Kalyan has revealed that he donated a sum of Rs 5 crore to distressed farmers in 2022, adding that he had received the money as remuneration for a movie he was doing at that time. It's possible that he had donated the money he made from They Call Him OG or BRO.

"In 2022, seeing the devastating impact of crop losses on our farmers, many of whom were driven to the point of despair, deeply moved me. I wanted to offer more than just words, so I donated the Rs 5 crore advance from my upcoming film to provide them with some much-needed support and hope," the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh said.

Pawan Kalyan's next theatrical release is Ustaad Bhagat Singh, to be released in theatres in Summer 2026. Mythri Movie Makers has collaborated with director Harish Shankar. Dekhlenge Saala, the first song, was released recently.
