"One shows no mercy, the other shows no fear. Their battle royale is almost here," wrote Hrithik Roshan, sharing a '30 Days To Go' poster of War 2. He was joined by his co-star Jr NTR, who wrote, "The wait ends soon. The war begins… (sic)."
War 2, directed by Ayan Mukerji, hinges on the super-heroic characters played by Hrithik and Tarak. Their lack of fear will see an indomitable will, an unshakeable resolve, and a deeply principled motivation. A determined underdog and a few surprises could be the hallmark of the sequel.
Meanwhile, S Naga Vamsi (who is releasing War 2 in Telugu) has explicitly clarified that Jr NTR has a full-length role in War 2 alongside Hrithik Roshan, quashing rumors of a limited appearance. "Both of them will be there throughout the film. After the first 15 minutes, Tarak anna will enter, and both of them will dance to a song. It is a commercially packed film," he said.
War 2 heads to theatres on a grand scale on August 14. Its release in three languages (Hindi, Telugu, Tamil) will be huge. Kiara Advani plays a leading role. Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR won't be seen together during the promotions. They will promote the movie separately to preserve their on-screen rivalry.
