In early 2024, DVV Danayya was widely reported to be initially attached to produce Thalapathy Vijay’s last film, but he exited the project and did not end up producing it. That project was taken over by KVN Productions and came to be made as Jana Nayagan.
Danayya, who was by then producing Pawan Kalyan's They Call Him OG, backed out of Vijay's movie because the Tamil superstar demanded an exceptionally exorbitant fee of Rs 250 Cr. Danayya was not ready for that huge sum of amount.
When Danayya considered the prestigious project, he was on a high. Rajamouli's RRR had fetched him huge profits.
Jana Nayagan is facing politically motivated trouble. It has been postponed indefinitely. In the worst case scenario, it might not release this month and that will mean potential financial setbacks for all stakeholders. Danayya must be thanking his stars!
