K Ramp is a complete entertainer with energetic performances and music: Producers

Producer Razesh Danda, talking about the pre-release business-side performance of Kiran Abbavaram's K-Ramp, says that his banner's previous movies had achieved solid business and that his Diwali release had already received excellent trade response. In this interview, he talks about the movie's key highlights.

Producer Razesh Danda:

K-Ramp came my way after Kiran listened to Jains Nani's narration. Since he had journeyed with the debutant director for nearly 18 months, he was confident of his calibre. And since I had been wanting to produce a movie starring Kiran, I was game!

The title of the movie ticks two boxes. For one, it satisfies the 'K' sentiment in Kiran's career (his previous big hit was KA). Secondly, 'K' in the title stands for Kumar, the name of the hero. We would have gone for Kumar Ramp as the title had it not been lengthy. K-Ramp sounds more fashionable in contrast.

The Kerala aesthetic adds a degree of freshness to the visual quality. Yukti Thareja's character comes from Kerala in the movie. The Onam song is there for that reason. Chaitan Bharadwaj's songs and background score will be enjoyed by the audience.

Since Kiran and Jains Nani had worked closely for several months, they were on the dot by the time the production began. They knew what scenes had to be dropped. As such, the production was fast-paced. We announced K-Ramp about six months ago. And it's not like we didn't compromise on casting. Many artists have acted in the movie. Kamna Jathmalani and Vimala Raman have special roles. .

Among the comedic highlights are the characters played by VK Naresh garu and Vennela Kishore. (The film also stars Sai Kumar, Muralidhar Goud, and Ali).

I am a man of a few words. But the unexpectedly large turn-out at K-Ramp's trailer event the other day was a total surprise. While only 300 were expected, 3000 had turned up. Out of zeal, I quoted a Balayya Babu line to exude confidence in the success of my movie. I am a Balakrishna fan, as it is.

The Diwali competition is not a big issue. All the movies in the fray are of equal standing. There is no uneven competition. All of us producers have a healthy equation with each other.

I have always maintained a healthy relationship with my heroes, be it Sundeep Kishan or Allari Naresh or others. With Kiran, too, Hasya Movies has a strong relationship. He is an ego-less actor who extends full cooperation to his producers.

Our movie has been awarded 'A' certificate by the CBFC owing to its raw nature of dialogues, not because there is vulgarity. We steered clear of spicy lines to make our film family-friendly.

The difference in the tenor of the teaser and trailer was intentional. We wanted them to convey a contrast.

This is my first-ever collaboration with Shiva Bommaku, the new producer on the block. I plan to unite with him again in the future.

Hasya Movies is currently making two different movies with Allari Naresh (in collaboration with Annapurna Studios) and actress Samyuktha. We also plan to make Samajavaragamana 2 with the team that made the first part.

Producer Shiva Bommak:

Since K-Ramp is a full-on entertainer, the kind of energy you will see in Kiran's performance will be something else. K-Ramp explores a new side to his energetic performance. Yukti Thareja's character is a pack of surprises.

Besides the hero's performance, K-Ramp has technical highlights, too: The music, editing, and cinematography have all elevated the movie to another level.

It has a smooth working relationship with my fellow producer, Razesh Danda. Coming to the content of K-Ramp, it made me excited when I first listened to Jains Nani's narration. He has dealt with the subject matter in a mature fashion.
