Nari Nari Naduma Murari is a youthful, fun-filled entertainer, says director Ram Abbaraju, whose film is slated to be released in theatres on January 14. In this interview, he talks about the Sharwanand-starrer, which features Sakshi Vaidya and Samyuktha as heroines. Anil Sunkara has produced it on AK Entertainments.

As a child, I used to watch a lot of films with my father, who too is a movie buff. I entered the film industry after my Engineering. I grew up watching many films every Sankranthi since childhood. Now, having my film release for festival feels so special. I like entertaining all kinds of audiences with clean family entertainment. My previous two movies, Vivaha Bhojanambu and Samajavaragamana, did that.

When you hear about two women and one male lead, you usually get the feeling that it’s a triangular love story. But NNNM has a very fresh plot point. The trailer hasn't revealed the nature of the conflict. The real conflict in NNNM comes near the interval. This is where the novelty begins.

Sharwanand got a completely new makeover for Biker, and our movie benefited from that makeover. We shot the flashback episodes first, and then the present-day scenes. He excels in entertainment films. Run Raja Run, Express Raja, Mahanubhavudu were entertainers.

VK Naresh sir is a fantastic, versatile actor. In my films (Samajavaragamana and now NNNM), he has perfectly portrayed father characters. The roles of Satya, Sudarshan, and Vennela Kishore are very hilarious.

I am aware that comedy is not an easy genre. In NNNM, the comedy is very organic and not forced. As the climax nears, there is a really solid emotional drama.

I have known writer Bhanu Bhogavarapu ever since I entered the industry. Bhanu and Nandu Savirigana have been the writers for every one of my films.

There is a paucity of writing talent in the industry because many writers have become filmmakers themselves. I started out as an assistant director. I worked as an AD on Gunasekhar garu’s Nippu. Later, after gaining experience, I became a director.

My next film is with Sree Vishnu. It will be a crime comedy and not a sequel. It will be a standalone movie. While there is a time gap between my previous movie and NNNM, my next film will come out at the earliest. After Samajavaragamana, I was supposed to team up with Naga Chaitanya, but the project got delayed because he had a look specifically meant for Thandel.
