Hero Navadeep, has proved his worth and acting following the success of the first hit of this New Year, GOUTHAM SSC. In an interview with Ragalahari this light eyed youngster, who created a flutter in the hearts of many girls, speaks of his experiences and future plans.

Q: How are you celebrating your success this New Year?
A: This New Year has been the best New Year in my life so far. There is no reason to celebrate the New Year particularly. Generally the only reason a student has to celebrate is when the results come, that to in March or April. I am happy with the success of my film. The movie released on 30th of Dec and by 31st itself we started getting good reports about the film. So this year I had a special reason to celebrate my new year.
Q: What was the kind of response you received from the audiences?
A: I was appreciated for my acting in my first film JAI. After that my film did average business and I was not noticed that much. When they heard off GOUTHAM SSC they thought it was just another fun filled teen age love story. They did not expect me to do the kind of emotional scenes I did in the second half of this movie. Many people came up to me and said that they had tears in their eyes when they saw those scenes. They appreciated my acting in this movie. I am happy with the response for the movie and my performance.

Q: This is C.C.Reddy’s first film. How was it working with this banner?
A: Visu banner is a well known name. They are well established in the educational as well as business fields. C.C.Reddy is also internationally successful man. He has the capacity to make big movies with the big stars of our industry. Yet he chose Arun Prasad (director) and me to work in his first movie. After the producer the responsibility of making a good movie falls on the shoulders of the director and the actors. So we wanted everything to go right for the movie, because the name of Visu was attached to it and we did not want to spoil it. We worked very hard for the movie and I am glad with the kind of response we received.
Q: Which aspect of the movie was well appreciated?
A: The emotional scenes were well received by the people. The response to the second half, specially the climax scene was very good.
Q: The music of the film is said to have played a key role in the success of the film. Tell us about it?
A: This is my second film with the music director, Anoop. We worked together for JAI also. JAI’s music is my favorite of all my movies since that is my first film. All the songs in it are good. It was a nice experience working with him again. He composed five songs for GOUTHAM SSC. All the songs are good. The music has definitely been a plus point for the film. Because, the music of a film plays a major role in the pre-release publicity of a film. So the film’s music played a major role in the success of this film.
Q: After watching the movie, were there any scenes where you felt you could have done a better job?
A: No. As per acting I gave it my best. I did whatever I could do. But I thought I could have done better in the song and fight sequences.
Q: You are doing a film with Sravanthi Movies. Tell us about that movie?
A: The movie is being directed by Gowri Ramana. There are two heroines, Poonam( my heroine in MODATI CINEMA) and a new girl Simran. The music is by Koti. I play the role of a rich NRI in the movie. As in GOUTHAM SSC there are a lot of characters in this movie. It is a lighthearted family movie. It doesn’t have emotional scenes like in GOUTHAMM SSC. It is a cute love story. I need not tell you, all of Kishore garu’s movies have a classy touch. The movie is good entertainer. It is yet to be titled.
Q: Tells us about your future projects?
A: After the film with Sravanthi Movies I am doing a movie for Rajarajeswari combines (of the national award wining Swarnabishekam fame) with a new heroine Sheela. This movie also is yet to be named. The music director of this film is my favorite music director, Mani sharma. His music is the highlight of the movie. The movie is being directed by a Tamil director Rajaraja. He is a new director.
Q: After the success of a film people become careful of the kind of films they do. what are your plans?
A: I am not worried about that. Because even before this film was released I started working two other movies. So I don’t need to go on a signing spree. Further more my Tamil movie is going to be released in Telugu soon. It is called KALISUNTE. The dubbing part has been completed and it is ready for release. So with three movies lined up I have lot of time to sign a good movie.
Q: Were you very nervous during the release of GOUTHAM SSC?
A: Yes. I was very nervous. It was as during the release JAI. After my first movie I did not have any hopes for my other movies. Not that I was depressed or something. I know how much of hard work I put into those film, be it physically or mentally. But I just never had a lot of expectations for my other movies. But it was different with GOUTHAM SSC. A lot of feelings went into the making of this movie.  I wanted this movie to do well for the director, Arun Prasad; he is a very nice man. And also I signed two new movies at that time, so a lot was dependent on the success of GOUTHAM SSC. I did not want the producers to regret signing me for their films. So career wise and emotionally I was under a lot of pressure. It was not the case for my first two films. That is why I was very much tensed during the release of GOUTHAM SSC.
Q: You have a personal website? Tell us about it?
A: Yes. It is WWW.NAVDEEP4U.INFO. My friends Aditya and Raghava planned it. I met Aditya in Vizag during a film shooting. And Raghava is from Hyderabad. I am thankful to them. A lot of people have liked the work they have done. Because of this site I have been able to interact a lot with my fans and other people both from our country and outside.
