Telugu heroes to save Bollywood from 'Drought': Analyst

Bollywood has been going through a terrible phase. The disastrous performance of some of the recent Hindi movies has sent the Hindi film world into a tizzy.

In this context, the exhibitors and distributors in Mumbai and other northern markets have reposed faith in Telugu cinema. Pan-Indian movies starring major Telugu heroes and two Tamil stars are expected to "rescue" Bollywood from the ongoing commercial drought and financial woes, opined film trade analyst Taran Adarsh.

The hope is firmly on Prabhas's 'Kalki 2898 AD', Allu Arjun's 'Pushpa 2', Jr NTR's 'Devara', Ram Charan's 'Game Changer', Kamal Haasan's 'Indian 2' and Suriya's 'Kanguva'. Of the movies on which Bollywood is counting, only two have been made by Kollywood.

Of the above movies, the biggest favourites are the movies starring Prabhas and Bunny. The former also features Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone. It could actually open to bigger numbers than even 'Pushpa 2' in the Hindi belt if its Trailer becomes a hit.
