Because they don’t carry full-fledged roles, comedians can appear in dozens of films in a year when they are in good form. One good role can catapult them to fame like anything. VTV Ganesh's moment came with Beast. Although the film was a flop, his expressions in it were rib-tickling. Anil Ravipudi offered him good roles in Bhagavanth Kesari and Sankranthiki Vasthunam, following which he has been flooded with offers in Telugu.
In 2025, he was seen in more flops than in hits: Mithra Mandali, Mass Jathara, Andhra King Taluka, Ghaati, and Bhale Unnade. The sad part is that each of these films had him do monotonous acting. There was nothing unique about his dialogue modulation. He is the new LB Sriram.
The Raja Saab is the last straw. Since this is a superstar vehicle, VTV Ganesh was expected to do more. To be fair to him, none of the comedians, including the much more talented Satya, stands out in the movie. That said, Ganesh should be picky. Films like Single and AAY helped him. Year 2026 needs to give me at least a couple of memorable roles.
