Veteran director-producer V B Rajendra Prasad aka jagapathi Rajendra Prasad has turned 81 today. He is the founder of Jagapathi Art Pictures banner. He made several super hit films on this banner like Athma Balam, Akka Chellelu, Anthasthulu, Adrushtavanthulu, etc., and turned director with Dasara Bullodu in 1971. Besides Telugu, he also directed several Tamil and Hindi films. He also introduced his son Jagapathi Babu as hero to Tollywood under his own production film ‘Simha Swapnam’. V B Rajendra Prasad won Raghupathi Venkaiah Naidu award 2003 for honoring his services to film industry.
In the words of the V B Rajendra Prasad, “Money alone is not sufficient to become a good producer. One must develop knowledge of films, come up with new ideas and provides quality films to the public to remain in the minds of the audience as a good producer.”
