Producer Dil Raju has organised a press meet this evening (July 27, 2013) in Hyderabad to announce the change in the release date of Ram Charan, Shruti Haasan and Amy Jackson starrer ‘Yevadu’. Allu Arjun and Kajal will appear in cameo roles in this Vamsi Paidipally’s 3rd directorial venture. The film which was to release on July 31st has been postponed to August 21st.
Dil Raju said, “We started ‘Yevadu’ two years ago and were to release long ago. However we finalized the date as July 31st due to several technical problems. But as Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Attarintiki Daaredhi’ is releasing on August 7th and both films belonging to heroes from the same family are releasing within a gap of one week, it has lead to a speculation among fans and general public. Since we do not want make it a big issue and create differences between fans, we have decided to release ‘Yevadu’ on August 21st after a discussion with Pawan Kalyan and Ram Charan. Same was the case with ‘Khaleja’ and ‘Brindavanam’ in the past. We have postponed ‘Brindavanam’ for a week at that time too. And everyone is aware about the success range of that film. We are very confident that ‘Yevadu’ will bring a huge success to Vamsi Paidipally and take him to the next level. I was spell bound by his 40 minute story narration in my first sitting and got the same feel yesterday when I watched the film on screen. We are all very happy. Our movie will become a big hit if the audience too feel the same. No one can predict the result of any film till the morning show on opening day. Few media channels have telecast that our decision to postpone the film is due to fear on Pawan Kalyan. But they should understand that Pawan Kalyan is Ram Charan’s uncle. So one should also know that the son will always have due respects for his uncle and not fear. We are not going to loose anything if we postpone a good film for two week. ‘Attarintiki Daaredhi’ is a good family film. I wish ‘Attarintiki Daaredhi’ like ‘Lagaan’ and ‘Yevadu’ like ‘Gadaar’ to become big hits. August will be a festive month for mega fans with two films. Our judgement will always be right. So far we have delivered 14 films on our banner out of which 12 are hits. ‘Yevadu’ is the 15th film.”
Sai Kumar who also claims to have seen few scenes yesterday commented, "Vamsi Paidipally used my eyes in this film which Varma (RGV) wanted to do. His taking is very stylish. I wish the film a big success.”
Vamsi Padipally said, “I appreciate Dil Raju’s bold decision of changing the release date even after announcing the release date and publishing the posters. The movie’s output is excellent. I’m a great fan of Chiranjeevi garu. We will release the film on 21st and gift the success to Chiranjeevi garu. Postponement is not due to fear but with due respects.”
‘Yevadu’ unit celebrated Sai Kumar’s birthday and Vamsi Paidipally’s birthday at the same venue. Raja, Sashank, Surekha Vani and Rajitha also participated along with the technicians’ team.
