Golden Star Sunil and Mannara Chopra starrer ‘Jakkanna’ which was made under RP Creations banner as Production No.2 has hit screens on July 29. The film which received mixed talk on the release day has grossed 3.78 crores and stood as highest opening day grosser in hero Sunil’s career. Even though the collections were grown smaller, from third day to 12th day the film stood as the best commercial success in Sunil’s career in the recent days. Sunil has shown his mettle by collecting the share over Rs 15.28 crores in 12 days. ‘Jakkanna’ which was laced with every scene hilariously, stood as yet another super hit film in Sunil’s career.
On this occasion, producer R Sudarshan Reddy said, “The film ‘Jakkanna’ was released in many theaters. It has got houseful collections on par with pre-release craze. ‘Jakkanna’ became not only the highest opening day grosser, but also stood as re-entry super hit in Sunil’s career. The film is receiving positive reports from all areas. The film has collected the share over Rs 15.28 crores in 12 days and it has given me immense happiness. As expected, comedy became highlight for the film. Audience are enjoying the film as a hilarious entertainer. The film is running successfully in all centers in the third week also.”
The film was made under RP Creations banner as Production No.2. Mannara Chopra has paired up with Sunil as female lead. R Sudashan Reddy has produced the film under Vamshi Krishna Akella’s direction.
