Actress Nandita Swetha has become one of the most sought after heroines in Tamil as well as Telugu. Though she is already a popular star in Tamil, the sensational hit of her maiden Telugu film Ekkadiki Pothavu Chinnavada that starred Nikhil made her an overnight star in Tollywood too.

Nandita’s very first Tamil film ‘Attakathi’ was a hit. Her second film Ethirneechal produced by Dhanush was a super hit and the film’s hero Shivakaethikeyan is now a marketable hero in Tamil. Nandita received few awards for the film.
Nandita’s 3rd film Idharkuthane Aasaipattai Balakumara with Vijay Sethupathy was a commercial hero. Tamils started calling Nandita with her character name Kumudha post release of the film. Her next project- Mundaasuppatti with Fox Star Production was a blockbuster hit and Nandita got many awards for the film.
Then, Nandita starred in director Radhamohan’s comedy-drama film called Uppu Karuvaadu, a critically acclaimed and commercially successful film.
Nandita’s new film Nenjam Marappathillai with director Selvaraghavan which has SJ Surya playing protagonist is set for release. Apart from this, she also has couple of other films - Ulkuthu starring her first hero Dinesh and Vijay Sethupathi's Idam Porul Yaeval.
In Nenjam Marappathillai, Nandita is said to have played an arrogant wife to SJ Surya. She is going to be one of the major assets of the film.
In fact, Nandita Swetha is mostly picking performance oriented roles and she has no qualms to play glamorous roles too.
