Shruti Haasan was set to act with Power Star Pawan Kalyan in an upcoming yet-untitled Telugu film. But due to her busy work schedule, she is likely to be replaced by Rakul Preet Singh.
"Makers have roped Shruti Haasan in as she makes a great on-screen pair with Pawan Kalyan and she was very eager to play female lead opposite Pawan Kalyan. As the film’s shooting got delayed due to the change of the director and as the actress is currently working on multiple projects in Hindi, Telugu and Tamil industries, she couldn’t allocate required dates for this film. So due to her packed schedule with other films, makers are now thinking to replace her with Rakul. Since Rakul Preet Singh also juggling four big projects, it remained to be known whether Rakul will be able to make time for Pawan Kalyan’s film. Rakul also very excited to work with power star. Discussions are going on," informs a source from the film unit.
Hansika, one of the busiest actresses in the southern industry, is currently shooting for Hindi film ‘Yaara’ and Tamil film ‘S3’, Telugu ‘Premam’, Telugu, Tamil and Hindi Trilingual film ‘Sabaash Naidu’ and one more Telugu film.
Rakul, who recently scored super hit with Telugu film ‘Sarainodu’, is busy shooting Hindi film ‘Shimla Mirchi’, Telugu films ‘Dhruva’, Boyapati Srinu’s film, Gopichand Malineni’s project and AR Murugadoss’s film and a Tamil film ‘Thupparivaalan’.
This yet to be titled film is being produced by Sharrath Marar under Northstar Entertainment banner with Dolly as director. Earlier, Pawan Kalyan and SJ Surya have worked together for two projects. Anoop Rubens is providing musical tunes for this film and he has already competed two songs. Soundararajan, who worked as cinematographer for ‘Billa’ and ‘Bengal Tiger’, is handling the camera for this too.
