We all know that senior actor T Chalapathi Rao’s sexiest comment on women has kicked up a storm. He has made the comment on women at the audio release function of ‘Raarandoi veduka Chooddam’ held on May 22 in Hyderabad. After the function the senior actor’s comments went viral on social media followed by resentment from all walks of life. After drawing flak, T Chalapathi Rao issued a statement apologizing for his controversial remarks against women.
Movie Artist Association (MAA) convened a press conference on Tuesday evening i.e. on May 23 in Hyderabad and condemned Chalapathi Rao’s sexiest comment on women. All the Telugu artists condemned the sleazy comments made by Chalapathi Rao.
Speaking at the press meet, Shivaji Raja said, “Chalapathi Rao garu had never made such disreputable comments in the past. We work in a very friendly atmosphere. For the first time ever he slipped his tongue. He came to me and expressed his regret for that. MAA condemns his sexiest comments against women. He is feeling sorry and urged MAA to forgive him. We hereby promise that such kind of things won’t repeat. If such thinks happen, serious action would be taken. He was ready to attend the press meet and apologize, but we said no.”
Naresh said, “We definitely condemn his disrepute comments on women. It is very important to maintain decency in public. There is very thin line between humour and controversial remarks. Social media is always vigilant. This is like a lesion for all of us. He is going to visit TV channels and apologizing for his offending remarks. MAA is going to bring out a resolution on how to deal with the people who makes offensive remarks in future. We urge people who have files cases against him to withdraw them. We work in a very congenial atmosphere. There is no discrimination based on sex of the artists in Telugu film industry.”
