Spending Rs 170 Cr on theatrical movies itself is a big deal. Even in Bollywood, budgets are not this high most often. Last year, Hrithik Roshan's 'WAR' was made at Rs 175 Cr or so. But now, a leading streaming website is producing a Rs 170 Cr movie for a mere OTT release.
The news has been revealed on Thursday by Telugu producer Allu Aravind. "I cannot reveal the name of the Bollywood superstar who is doing the OTT film. But the budget of the film is Rs 170 Cr," the Geetha Arts supremo said. There are speculations that it could be Akshay Kumar.
Aravind also made a big announcement with respect to Aha. "We will be launching 42 web series and TV Shows in the next 6 months," he said.
The producer added that the film shootings are likely to commence from October in Tollywood.
