'Maarconi Mathaai' (Malayalam) is all set to release in Telugu as 'Radio Madhav'. Billed as a family entertainer, this one stars Tamil actor Vijay Sethupathi and senior Mollywood actor Jayaram in lead roles. Written and directed by Sanil Kalathil, its announcement posters are out.
Producer DV Krishna Swamy is banking on the growing popularity of Vijay Sethupathi, who was seen in Chiranjeevi's 'Sye Raa' last year, in Telugu. As for Jayaram, he played Allu Arjun's father in 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo'.
Besides a love story, 'Radio Madhav' has got a military backdrop. Shot in Kerala's Changanassery, the film is touted to have a gripping climax set in the backdrop of Goa. "The film has got all the essential elements," the makers have said.
Dialogue and lyric writer Bhasya Sri has likened the film to Venkatesh popular films like 'Raja' and 'Sankranthi' in terms of its appeal to the family audience.
Athmiya Rajan, 'Avunu' fame Poorna, Naren, Aju Verghese and others are part of the cast.
Music is by M Jayachandran, while Sajan Kalathil is the director of photography.
