Crimes like murders and rapes signal a lot of maladies on several levels. Urban crime incidence is determined by a number of peculiarities. 'Case 99' tells the story of the increase in crime rate after the Outer Ring Road came up in Hyderabad.
After concept-oriented films such as 'Toss' and 'Manodu', Priyadarshini Ram is coming up with 'Case 99'. Ram, who has been familiar as the Sakshi TV CEO, Family Features Editor and 'Love Doctor', is telling a story rooted in a variety of human emotions behind crimes like killings and kidnaps.
The news is that 'Legend' director Boyapati Srinu has unveiled the first look and motion poster of 'Case 99', where we see two intense characters (played by Thiruveer and Priyadarshini Ram) looking intent and suspicious.
"Inspired by real incidents, crimes in and around ORR in the film are shown as a piece of writing in Telugu daily. The director has touched upon a contemporary and burning issue in the film," the makers have said.
With a run time of 115 minutes, the film will release either for Dasara or Diwali.
Besides Ram and Thiruveer, the film also stars Anuvarna, Nihal, Ajay, Aparajitha, Praneetha Patnaik, Ashok Rao, Vijay Goparaju, Krish Raj, Manoj Muthyam, and Nitin Prasanna.
Music is by Aashiq Arun, while Surendra Reddy is the director of photography. Editing is by Shiva Sarvani. Produced by Keerthi Chilukuri, Gautam Reddy, Vivek Reddy, it has been written and directed by Ram.
