Pan-India actor Vijay Deverakonda has become the first southern star to debut on Dabboo Ratnani's calendar. His 'Beast Boy' look was revealed today. The actor, seated on a bike, went shirtless for the awesome photoshoot.
"I have been shooting for 'Liger' since January 2020. Since then, I have been in the same look," VD said today, talking about the calendar.
Dabboo said that he connected instantly with Deverakonda as he did the calendar shoot. The 'Geetha Govindam' actor, on his part, added that Dabboo is a super-quick photographer. "I love how prepared and quick he is. I was 9 years old when Dabboo came up with his first celeb calendar. I saw the likes of Shah Rukh sir on his calendars," the actor said. In the 22-year-old history of Dabboo calendars, this is the first time a south actor has been featured.
The celeb photographer said that the pic is rugged and sexy. "I haven't seen him in such a look before. I found Vijay shy and so chilled at the same time," Dabboo added. Although the photographer had planned to launch it at a party, the pandemic has made him drop his plans.
The 'Arjun Reddy' actor expected that Dabboo would team up with him someday but he wanted it to be done after 'Liger' heads to theatres. "I wanted people to experience 'Liger' without a calendar coming out before it. But when Dabboo proposed that we do a photoshoot in January this year, I didn't want to procrastinate. I took off my shirt, sat on the bike and we were done," Vijay revealed with a smile.
