Dance choreographer Sivasankar passed away on Sunday night while undergoing treatment for Covid-19. He will be laid to rest on Monday afternoon at Maha Prasthanam in Hyderabad.
Soon after Sivasankar's demise became official news, Megastar Chiranjeevi and others took to social media and offered condolences. The 'Acharya' and 'Bholaa Shankar' actor wrote that Sivasankar had worked as an assistant for the cult hit 'Khaidi'. "From then on, I had an association with him for decades. His dance moves for 'Magadheera' won a National Award for the song 'Dheera Dheera'. The last time I met him was on the sets of 'Acharya'," Chiru added.
Pawan Kalyan mentioned Sivasankar's work for 'Magadheera'. "He choreographed dances for 100s of movies. I hoped that he would recover from the virus. I extend my deepest condolences to his family. Sivasankar garu knew how to blend his knowledge of classical dancing with film dances," the 'Bheemla Nayak' actor added.
Nandamuri Balakrishna described Sivasankar as a human being of high character. "I worked with him for many films. His loss is sad," the 'Akhanda' star added.
