This December 16, James Cameron's ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ is heading to theatres worldwide. Billed as a magnum opus, its early screening was held on Tuesday in London.
As per some of the film critics who attended the screening, the film is nothing less than a visual treat. At the cost of sounding hyperbolic, said a critic, she found the film unprecedented from a "technical, visual standpoint". She added, "It’s overwhelming. Maybe too overwhelming. Sometimes I’d miss plot points because I’m staring at a Pandora fish. The sequel has much better and deeper character development than the first part." This is truly wow if true.
Josh Horowitz wrote that the film is emotional and visceral. These adjectives have also been used in relation to 'RRR' in recent times by Hollywood critics.
Calling 'Avatar 2' phenomenal, Erik Davis said that the film is bigger, better and more emotional than 'Avatar'. He added, "The film is visually breathtaking, visceral and incredibly engrossing. The story, the spectacle, the spirituality, the beauty - this is moviemaking and storytelling at its absolute finest."
Looks like we are in for something awesome!
