The success event of 'Bangarraju', titled 'Bangarraju Blockbuster Meet' was held in a grand manner at Rajahmundry, Andhra Pradesh, on Tuesday. Akkineni Nagarjuna turned emotional while delivering his speech on the occasion, saying that the success of his film has proved the critics wrong.
He began his speech by speaking of how the film industry across the world has been in the doldrums due to the pandemic. 'Bangarraju', he emphasized, was released amid an environment of uncertainty.
The 'Wild Dog' actor thanked the Telugu movie lovers for watching his movie in a big way during Sankranthi. "Together they made the movie a blockbuster. My salute to them. Everyone says the movie is a hit because of my confidence in the script, but the fact is I trusted the Telugu audience. There is no Sankranthi without movies," Nag added. He also made a proud mention of his late father, ANR.
Naga Chaitanya, the other lead man of the film, said that 'Bangarraju' has garnered the career-best openings for him and his father. He thanked director Kalyan Krishna for removing his hesitancy in playing the character. The 'Love Story' actor was quick to refer to Krithi Shetty scoring a hat trick.
The two actors made a mention of Ramya Krishna, Rao Ramesh, Daksha Nagarkar, and Jhansi as well in their speeches.
