Allu Arjun has been featured on the cover of India Today's latest edition. Bunny is seen in his 'Thaggede le' pose on the magazine's cover. 'The South Swag' is the title of the cover story.
It's instructive that the Icon Star has been chosen to represent the 'swag of the south cinema' at a time when films like 'Pushpa: The Rise', 'RRR' and 'KGF 2' have literally shaken Bollywood's over-confidence by ruling the hearts of the Hindi audience.
India Today didn't feature Yash even though 'KGF 2' is a much bigger hit than 'Pushpa'. Ram Charan and Jr NTR have received international acclaim for their performances in 'RRR' but they haven't been the face of style and swag. Allu Arjun's mannerisms have been the most imitated. 'RRR' was not made to cater to lovers of swag.
Prabhas' onscreen presence was lauded by the national media when the 'Baahubali' movies were out. It seems the 'Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo' actor is slowly catching up with him in terms of popularity among the Hindi audience.
All eyes will be on 'Pushpa: The Rule' and how far Prabhas goes with films like 'Salaar' on the pan-India scale.
