Poorna (alternatively spelled as Purnaa) has got engaged. Born as Shamna Kasim, the beauty of 'Avunu' and the recent 'Akhanda', will get married to a businessman named Shanid Asifali. He is the CEO of JBS Group of Companies.
In her Insta message, Poorna merely revealed the news without elaborating much. The wedding date is yet to be decided.
Poorna made a debut on Telugu OTT last year with AHA's '3 Roses'. She comes with no film background. In an interview ahead of the release of 'Akhanda', she said, "I come from a humble background in Kerala. I have to thank my mother for standing by me. If money alone matters, you grab every opportunity that comes your way. If lasting long as an actor is your criterion, then you have to be choosy. I am not comfortable wearing some kinds of costumes. It's an individual choice. I did a modern role in '3 Roses' (Aha web series). But I had to do it because the series needed it."
