Music director Koti, was on the top of his game back in late 1980s and early 1990s. At that time, he was confident about an unnamed Balakrishna movie and therefore decided to buy its distribution rights for Nellore region.
In a recent interview, Koti revealed that the movie, directed by Kodandarami Reddy, turned out to be a disaster. "I was its music director. I was confident because everyone of us was in great form. The director was in perfect form. I hoped that the film will become a blockbuster like 'Mangammagari Manavadu'. Contrary to expectations, the film sank without a trace. Just on the second day, theatres were empty," Koti said.
"I lost Rs 8 lakh on the project. That was a huge figure. I had earned every single rupee by composing songs. That money was not made from real estate returns," Koti added.
