'Modern Love: Hyderabad', an anthology, will premiere on Amazon Prime Video from July 8. Its trailer was released today.
Three Nagesh Kukunoor directorials are 'My Unlikely Pandemic Dream Partner' (stars Revathy and Nithya Menen), 'Fuzzy, Purple And Full Of Thorns' (stars Aadhi Pinisetty and Ritu Varma), and 'Why Did She Leave Me There?' (stars Suhasini Maniratnam and Naresh Agastya): A common theme between the three stories is that love is limitless. For one to grow in faith and through a forgiving attitude, one must know the value of love.
Uday Gurrala's 'What Clown Wrote This Script' (stars Abijeet Duddala and Malavika Nair) says that love is the vastest emotion. "This is not just about romance. While the segment's theme is universal, it has been told through the eyes of a Hyderabadi," the director says.
Devika Bahudhanam's 'About That Rustle In The Bushes' (stars Ulka Gupta and Naresh) delves into the cultural and religious cosmpolitanism of Hyderabad. "This is an ever-changing land where the IT sector brings about long-lasting changes. Hope, change, and a few other themes have been touched upon," the director says.
Venkatesh Maha-directed segment is titled 'Finding Your Penguin' (stars Komalee Prasad). This one touches upon the struggles of today's youngsters to find true love, their tryst with dating apps, how they wade into their friends' troubled relationships with a helping attitude, etc.
The series has music by MM Keeravani, Kala Bhairava, Tapas Relia, Smaran Sai and Vivek Sagar.
