In a recent interview, Chiranjeevi said that there was no Rs 100 Cr film in Telugu till his 150th film, 'Khaidi No. 150', was released in January 2017. "Pawan Kalyan, Mahesh Babu, Allu Arjun, Prabhas, Ram Charan, and Tarak.. none of them had any one-billion rupee film at that time," Chiru told a website. It was proof enough that the 'Acharya' actor believes in the numbers game.
And now, Mahesh Babu has openly stated that box-office numbers do matter. Speaking to Deccan Chronicle, the superstar minced no words when he commented that numbers are important for a big film. "With every film, the equation changes and the numbers keep going up. So, the challenge is to match up to those figures," the charming star added.
This may explain why Mythri Movie Makers has been putting out posters of the BO collections earned by 'Sarkaru Vaari Paata' since the day of its release on May 12.
