Of late, Telugu stars are showing great interest in Mollywood films. 'Ayyappanum Koshiyum' was remade with Pawan Kalyan and Rana Daggubati as lead actors. The big-ticket remake of 'Lucifer' with Chiranjeevi in the lead is another major one. Some day, Mammootty's 'Roscharch' might be remade, like the 'Drushyam' movies were done with Venkatesh as the hero.
Mohan Babu has joined the bandwagon now. After Venkatesh, Pawan Kalyan, and Chiranjeevi, the 'Son Of India' actor is going to do a remake of a Malayalam movie. He has chosen a sci-fi comedy-drama, not an action thriller or something.
The film is 'Android Kunjappan Version 5.25' (2019). Manchu Vishnu is going to be one of the producers. The remake will go on the floors early next year.
Prateek Prajosh-directed 'Agni Nakshatram' is Mohan Babu's next release. Lakshmi Manchu has a key role in it.
