Comedian Ali, who has been maintaining close relations with the who's who of the Andhra Pradesh government, has been appointed as an Advisor to the Electronic Media wing of the state government.
Two years is his tenure, the Principal Secretary to the AP government today said. There was a time when Ali was billed to be nominated to a key posting in the Waqf Board, considering he is a Muslim by faith. But the YS Jaganmohan Reddy government, it would appear from the latest development, has given him a snub by appointing him to an insignificant posting.
On the feature film front, Ali's 'Andaru Bagundali Andulo Nenundali' will start streaming on Aha Video on October 28. Besides acting in the drama, Ali has also produced it.
