'Roudram Ranam Rudhiram' has missed out on an Indian entry to the Oscar Awards. Yesterday, the Film Federation of India selected a little-known Gujarati movie over 'RRR'.
But all is not over for the film. Variance Films, the US distributor for 'RRR', is launching a passionate global campaign to influence the Academy members to nominate the Rajamouli directorial in multiple categories.
As per a report published by the Hollywood mag Variety, the campaign is going to be a thorough one. About 10,000 Academy members will be watching 'RRR' in the coming weeks. The nominations are going to be announced in the last quarter of December.
Actually, 'RRR' has a chance of winning more than one Oscar award if it receives nominations in multiple categories. Best Picture, Best Director, Best Actor, Best Original Screenplay are some of the categories that have been seen as possible categories for nominations.
