'Vidudhala: Part 1' was released in theatres on Saturday (April 15). Elred Kumar of Kollywood produced the original version ('Viduthalai') and he is happy that presenter Allu Aravind's faith in the movie has paid off in the Telugu territory.
The producer-presenter duo congratulated each other on Sunday, with the Vetrimaaran directorial posting better numbers compared with all other releases of the week. The film has comfortably pipped Samantha Ruth Prabhu's 'Shaakuntalam' in many theatres. A sound distribution strategy and the success of the three-week-old Tamil original have paid dividends.
Geetha Film Distribution has scored its first hit of the year. RS Infotainment and Grass Root Film Company are happy to have collaborated with the distribution company in the Telugu States.
Starring Vijay Sethupathi in an extended cameo and Soori as an underdog constable, the film also features Bhavani Sre, Gautham Vasudev Menon, Rajiv Menon, and Chethan.
