'Hostel Hudugaru Bekagiddare', the Kannada-language film which hit the cinemas recently, is going to get a Telugu-dubbed release on August 26 as 'Hostel Boys'. The film will be released in Telugu by Annapurna Studios and Chai Bisket Films (of the recent 'Mem Famous' fame).
The black comedy, which is helmed by new Sandalwood director Nithin Krishnamurthy, is headlined by Prajwal BP, Manjunath Nayaka, Rakesh Rajkumar, and others. The premise of the film is striking. A college student, who lives in a crowded boys' hostel, wants to make a short film. In an inexplicable turn of events, the hostel warden is found dead, making the audience wonder why reality starts mirroring the short film's script. What happens next is what the film is about.
The critically-acclaimed movie has garnered 3.5-star ratings from certain critics in Kannada. "Each frame, thanks to the number of important characters employed by the script, can be found bustling with energy, noise, and some kind of riveting action," wrote TNM in its review.
