It is known that Chennai has been reeling under severe floods for the past 36 hours or so. Early on Tuesday, actor Vishnu Vishal raised an SOS, saying that he had been stranded in his residence. He posted selfies from the terrace of his house.
It later emerged that Aamir Khan was another celeb who had been stranded in a villa due to the floods. The Bollywood superstar has since been rescued. It was with the intervention of Kollywood superstar Ajith Kumar that the rescue reached the 'PK' and 'Laal Singh Chaddha' actor.
Taking to Twitter, here is what Vishnu Vishal revealed: "After getting to know our situation through a common friend, the ever-helpful Ajith Sir came to check in on us and helped with travel arrangements for our villa community members. Love you, Ajith Sir!"
Meanwhile, cricketer Ashwin Ravindran tweeted that there has been no access to power in his Chennai locality for more than 30 hours. "Guess that's the case in many places. Not sure what options we have," he added.
