SS Rajamouli has given a long-form interview with New Yorker. He has been put several political questions in the interview, especially those concerning RRR's alleged pro-Hindu nationalist orientation.
An interesting part of the interview is where the 'Baahubali' director makes a recommendation to foreigners. The recommendation pertains to the five Indian films that foreigners must definitely watch.
Interestingly, only one Telugu film features in the list: It is K Viswanath's 'Sankarabharanam'.
Three Hindi films feature and they are: 'Bandit Queen', 'Munnabhai MBBS' and 'Black Friday'. Of these, only 'Munnabhai' is a commercial film.
The fifth film is 'Aadukalam', probably the Tamil film starring Dhanush. It was released in 2011 and was directed by Vetrimaran.
