This week, a little-known film got released at the box office. It's 'Mr. King', which is headlined by debutant Sharan Kumar. For those who don't know, Sharan is Vijaya Nirmala's grandson. He is VK Naresh's nephew. In a way, he comes from the extended family of the Gattamanenis.
'Mr. King' is a multi-genre film where the male lead works as a Radio Jockey out of passion. There is another passion in his life - a pathbreaking, one-of-its-kind genius experiment that can almost end air pollution! Bloated narration, uniformly bad performances, distracting comedy (even Vennela Kishore fails to evoke laughs), and draggy scenes define the film.
Looks wise, Sharan Kumar comes across as a mixture of Adarsh Balakrishna and senior character artist Satya Prakash. He looks okayish in close shots but lacks any charm in wide shots.
The film is sinking without a trace at the box office.
