In 'Veera Simha Reddy', Nandamuri Balakrishna plays a factionist for emotional reasons. Baying for blood and brandishing the sword is not his passion but his mission. Director Gopichand Malineni seems to have made a sure-fire mass masala action entertainer for Sankranthi.

Sandalwood actor Duniya Vijay makes his Telugu debut. Varalaxmi Sarathkumar plays his wife. Nothing much is revealed about Vijay's character in order to maintain suspense.
Ajay Ghosh, Ravi Shankar, Naveen Chandra, Murali Sharma and others have different roles. Sai Madhav Burra's dashing lines land well in the trailer. The 'seat fight' composed by the Ram-Lakshman duo seems to be a highlight. Honey Rose and Chandrika Ravi will be seen in a song.
With music by Thaman S, the film is dominated by a larger-than-life hero. Shruti Haasan and most other characters in the trailer have a minor presence.
Producers Naveen Yerneni and Ravi Shankar Yalamanchili are planning to release the movie on January 12.
