'Waltair Veerayya' is the massiest film from Megastar Chiranjeevi in years. Director Bobby Kolli casts the legendary actor in the role of a monstrous gang lord whom the system struggles to put in place. It is up to ACP Vikram Sagar (Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja) to cage the tiger. But can he?
The last few seconds of the trailer might well define the movie. We see the titular character riding an elephant in what looks like a build-up to gravity-defying action. But just before that, we see him comically paraphrase a punchline from Ravi Teja's 'Idiot'. Surely, the writers had a blast writing a seemingly entertaining and eclectic script.
From punchlines to heavy-duty action, from lavish songs to comedy (Srinivas Reddy, Vennela Kishore, Saptagiri and Shakalaka Shankar are part of the cast), we can expect everything from this Sankranthi release. From Devi Sri Prasad's music to the Ram-Laxman duo's powerful action, from glamour (thanks to Shruti Haasan, Catherine Tresa and Urvasi Rautela) to ensemble cast (Prakash Raj and Bobby Simha are seen), the film seems to have them all.
Mythri Movie Makers is going to release the movie on January 13.
