'Sarkaru Noukari' is the title of the debut movie of Akash, playback singer Sunitha's son. On Republic Day, it was announced that the period drama will be produced by K Raghavendra Rao on his banner RK Telefilm Show.
Director Sekhar Gangamouni said that the film comes with a novel story.
During the launch of the project on Thursday, the makers revealed that Bhavana Vazhapandal, who comes from a theatre background, has been roped in for the heroine's role.
Set to go on the floors in the first half of February, the film co-stars Tanikella Bharani, Surya, Sai Srinivas Vadlamani, Manichandan, Raseshwari Mallapudi, and Ramya Pnduri Trinadh.
Sandilya (music director) is on board. The film's director himself is cranking the camera.
