'Baby' is going to hit the cinemas this Friday (July 14). On Thursday, more than fifty paid premiere shows are being arranged in the Telugu States, with the highest number in Hyderabad.
On Wednesday, the film's pre-release event saw senior producer Allu Aravind make an audacious prediction. He said that 'Baby' will go down as a cult film. He quipped that writer-director Sai Rajesh must have had several heartbreaks in love. He praised the 'Hrudaya Kaleyam' director for making it big despite a humble background. Vijay Bulganin's music, Vaishnavi Chaitanya's emotional performance, and the male leads (Anand Deverakonda and Viraj Ashwin) were also mentioned by the producer. The Geetha Arts supremo described Viraj as a chocolate boy.
The makers repeatedly spoke about the indispensable value of music for a film like 'Baby'. Sai Rajesh said that all six songs are great. He and his team haven't had proper sleep for the past 45 days. "The film is going to leave you heavy. Composer Vijay's big break is here," Sai Rajesh added, thanking cinematographer Babl Reddy, among others. "Viplav Nyshadam has done the editing brilliantly," the director said. The film's running time is nearly 170 minutes.
Director Maruthi said that Anand, Vaishnavi and Viraj will impress the audience for sure. He especially talked about the capacity of Anand to deliver a moving performance. "Vijay Deverakonda must be proud of Anand," he added, also wishing his long-time friend and partner SKN all the best.
Bunny Vass of GA2 Pictures thanked Allu Arjun, who is the one who spotted talents like SKN and himself. "It was he who got us introduced to Allu Aravind garu. We all belong to the same school," he added.
Producer SKN revealed that 'Baby' has already recovered its investment even before its theatrical release. He produced the movie on his own thanks to Aravind's motivation. "I am in the industry because of Bunny Vass, Maruthi, and UV Vamsi. My friend Sai Rajesh has a lot of creative power," he added.
Anand Devarakonda said that Thursday's paid premieres are getting packed everywhere. "Our film is going to show love from Sai Rajesh's point of view. All the boys out there will fall in love with Vaishnavi. Viraj acted brilliantly. I am sure that 'Baby' is going to stand out as my first theatrical hit," he added.
Vaishnavi Chaitanya said that 'Baby' mirrors reality. The former YouTuber and social media influencer profusely thanked Sai Rajesh for spotting her.
