Bollywood actress Preity G Zinta of 'Dil Se' fame has spoken out against the attacks on Hindu minorities in Bangladesh. The attacks are said to be relentless in the wake of the regime change in the neighbouring country.
"Devastated and heartbroken to hear of the violence in Bangladesh against their minority population. People killed, families displaced, women violated and places of worship being vandalized and burnt. Hope the new government takes appropriate steps to stop the violence and protecting its people. My thoughts and prayers for everyone facing hardship," Zinta wrote, using the caption #SaveBangladesiHindus at the end of her social media post.
'Chori Chori Chupke Chupke' (2001), 'Dil Chahta Hai' (2001), 'Dil Hai Tumhaara' (2002), and 'Armaan' (2003) are among her popular movies. The 49-year-old actress is married to Gene Goodenough. 'Welcome to New York' and 'Bhaiaji Superhit' are among her recent titles in Bollywood.
