Actor Sundeep Kishan has reportedly firmed up a project with Venkatesh Maha of 'Care Of Kancharapalem' fame. This is Maha's first outing with a mainstream hero who has done a couple of larger-than-life roles in the past. The film's genre, as per a portal, is a period action adventure.
Since his debut in 2018, Maha has struggled to make any impact. His sophomore effort, 'Uma Maheswara Ugra Roopasya', was a remake, followed by his third venture as a writer on 'Martin Luther King', another remake. Unfortunately, 'MLK' suffered from a lackluster screenplay. Despite attempts by some reviews to praise it with convoluted language and shallow analysis, the film failed to demonstrate genuine creative originality.
Considering Maha's uncertain track record, Sundeep Kishan is taking a risk. Maha, an unproven director with his own airs, is embarking on a period action-adventure, his first attempt at a straight film in years. One can only hope it doesn't backfire.
Sundeep awaits the theatrical release of 'Ooru Peru Bhairavakonda' on February 16.
