Twitter, which has come to be known as X under Elon Musk, has changed its policy pertaining to the posting of p0rnographic material on its platform. P0rn is now allowed on the platform.
“You may share consensually produced and distributed adult nudity or sexual behavior, provided it’s properly labeled and not prominently displayed," the new policy says. The emphasis on consensual production and distribution is evident.
“Sexual expression, whether visual or written, can be a legitimate form of artistic expression. We believe in the autonomy of adults to engage with and create content that reflects their own beliefs, desires, and experiences, including those related to sexuality," Variety has quoted the new policy as mentioning.
Many Netizens are unhappy. "This is incredibly frustrating. I understand being committed to free speech as a principle, but why protect p0rn before it protects the rest of the users? People are still getting banned for the most ridiculous reasons and yet the effort is placed into allowing p0rn? Absurd," wrote a user.
