GV Prakash Kumar, the music director-cum-actor from Kollywood, was recently seen in the Tamil film 'DeAr'. On Monday night, he announced his divorce with his wife, Saindhavi.
The composer was married to Saindhavi, who is a Carnatic music vocalist, for 11 years. She was his classmate. Their wedding took place in June 2013. They have a daughter from their marriage.
In his statement, Prakash Kumar said that he and Saindhavi took the decision after much reflection. "For the sake of our mental peace and betterment while preserving our mutual respect for each other. We kindly ask the media, friends and fans to understand and respect our privacy during the deeply personal transition," the couple said in two separate statements. "Acknowledging that we are growing apart, we believe this is the best decision for each other. Your understanding and support means a lot during this difficult time," the duo added.
