Pawan Kalyan has welcomed the suggestion by actor Shayaji Shinde that providing a plant along with prasadam in temples could enhance greenery. He described it as a commendable idea and mentioned that he would discuss its implementation with the honorable Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu.
Shinde explained that the Tree Prasad Scheme is being implemented in three prominent temples in Maharashtra.
During this meeting, he read a poem he had written in Marathi about plants and their significance to Pawan Kalyan, who praised the poem and noted its translation into Telugu.
Shayaji Shinde emphasized, “Human existence is intertwined with nature. Every religion in the world teaches that preserving nature is essential for the future. To provide a beautiful environment for future generations, we must educate today's youth about the importance of plants from an early age. Temples should encourage devotees to plant the saplings they receive as prasadam. This idea has been with me for a long time. We are implementing the Tree Prasad Scheme at Siddhivinayak Temple, Dagdusheth Ganpati Temple, and Mahalaxmi Temple in Maharashtra. Planting extensively has become part of my lifestyle. When my mother passed away, I planted seeds in various places in her memory. I shared this with Pawan Kalyan. If plants are given to devotees as gifts from God along with prasadam, they will consider planting and nurturing them as a divine act. When spirituality merges with environmental efforts, it will benefit future generations.”
