Kannada actor Darshan Thoogudeepa was arrested for his alleged role in the murder of a man named Renukaswamy (33), in June. He has been lodged at the Bengaluru Central Prison.
As per the latest reports, Darshan has been accorded a VIP treatment by jail authorities. India Today reported that a police raid recovered as many as fifteen mobile phones, including a Samsung device worth Rs 1.3 lakh, seven electric stoves, five knives, three mobile phone chargers, two pen drives, Rs 36,000 in cash, cigarettes, beedi, and matchstick boxes.
Besides, a photo of Darshan having a fun chit-chat time with a gangster inside the prison has also surfaced.
The other day, Darshan showed a middle finger to photo journalists who had gathered while he was being taken to a court. The picture has shocked many.
The VIP treatment to Darshan has ignited the suspicion that he may be well-networked. He has access to knives, which is even more shocking, Netizens say.
