Nani's 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' is looking increasingly predictable

'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' stars Nani in the role of a supposed vigilante who goes uncontrollably berserk on Saturdays (yes, only on Saturdays). DVV Entertainments is producing this August 29th release.

A new poster released by the makers shows the 'Hi Nanna' actor assuming a gentle demeanor. He emits a 'Ramudu manchi baludu' vibe in the poster. "Every raging Saturday has its calm counterpart. Now, experience a new dimension of Surya on other days," the makers wrote.

The two-dimensional character does remind us a bit of Vikram-Shankar's 'Aparichitudu' (2004). This is not to say that director Vivek Athreya has a split-personality characterization in 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram'. He is not a simple-minded director who borrows ideas from classics just like that. He is talented enough to develop them into something meaty even if he borrows an idea at a skeletal level.

For now, though, the character arc of Nani in 'Saripodhaa Sanivaaram' is looking predictable.

Starring also SJ Suryah and Sai Kumar, the film has music by Jakes Bejoy.
