Jagadam, which was released in 2007, was originally offered to Allu Arjun. It was to be produced by Dil Raju.
When director Sukumar pitched the story of Jagadam to Dil Raju, the latter expressed his dissatisfaction with the story. Sukumar's conviction told him not to give up. He persisted and narrated the story to Allu Arjun. Sukumar didn't expect his Arya hero to not like the story. When Bunny asked him to make changes, the director politely refused to do so. This is when Sukumar decided to do the project under a different banner. He approached Ram Pothineni, who greenlit the project. Aditya Babu produced it.
Jagadam remains a debatable film for many. It had an excellent storyline but the drama didn't work.
