Celebrated cinema writer Kona Venkat, who has worked on several hits over the years, is bringing back the pair of Court - State Vs. A Nobody for a movie bankrolled by his Kona Film Corporation. Producers Kavya and Shravya have united with director Satish Javvaji for a movie titled Band Melam. Harsh Roshan and Sridevi, who played young, oppressed lovers in Court, will once again be doing what they know best in this one: love like there is no tomorrow.
“Every Beat Has an Emotion”, the caption, makes the film's music-heavy nature clear. Since Band Melam will be high on folk flavour, the latest glimpse video is titled First Beat. Set in a Telangana village, the film has the male lead wooing his love interest through music, conversations, and more. Sridevi seems to be playing an assertive young woman. Sai Kumar might well be playing the antithesis to the naive, charmingly innocent love pair.
Vijai Bulgani is setting the songs to tune. Oscar-winning lyricist Chandrabose is penning the lyrics for Band Melam. Siva Mupparaju is handling the editing and also wrote the screenplay. Satish Mutyala is in charge of cinematography.
