'Anaganaga Oka Raju' Trailer: Naveen Polishetty operates at a constant 11

In Anaganaga Oka Raju, Naveen Polishetty's Raju signals his status and no place is immune to his self-flattering ways. Even when he is in a temple, all that he can think of is being loud. His statements come with a satirical bite: "affection" is a euphemism for assets, he declares, taking a swipe at a materialistic marital alliance culture. When he is not in the "Prashanth Neel zone", he is taking pot shots at every woman's ability to move on as if nothing happened.

Meenakshi Chaudhary, the woman he woos, is not the archetype of a cute village belle. She is almost dim-witted, comprehending words in their literal sense. The kind of writing Naveen has aced over the years is evident. Maari, the director, started out as one of the writers of the film; his promotion happened because Naveen could trust only him.

Also starring Rao Ramesh, Mahesh Achanta, Chammak Chandra and Bhadram, the film's cinematography is handled by J Yuvraj. Mickey J Meyer is the music director.

Anaganaga Oka Raju, a boisterous slapstick produced by Sithara Entertainments' S Naga Vamsi and Fortune Four Cinemas' Sai Soujanya, will head to theatres on January 14.
