An entertainer titled Cheen Tapak Dum Dum was officially launched today in Hyderabad. Writer-turned-actor Gavireddy Sreenu of Subham fame is fronting this 2026 release. The film is directed by Y N Lohit and features Brigida Saga in a prominent role opposite Gavireddy Sreenu. "Cheen Tapak Dum Dum" is a catchphrase that became a massive viral sensation in India in mid-2024. It originated from the popular children's animated show Chhota Bheem.
Touted to be a light-hearted ride, the film is on the floors. Samantha Ruth Prabhu formally unveiled the project along with renowned directors including Mallidi Vassishta, Gopichand Malineni, Nandini Reddy, BVS Ravi, and others.
The movie boasts production design by A S Prakash, cinematography by Senthil Kumar, music composition by PR with lyrics by Tirupathi Jaavana, VFX by Nikhil Koduru, and striking publicity designs by Shakthi VFX. The story and screenplay are crafted by Divya Thejaswi, Vikram Kumar K, Nag Trailblazer, and Ekalavya.
Sreenu Gavireddy has been a prominent writer in Gopichand Malineni's filmography. "Nothing comes easy in life. Landing Samantha garu's Subham was a big deal itself. I auditioned for the role in Subham," he said in an interview last year. Sreenu, who hails from a village near Vizag, entered the film industry inspired by Puri Jagannadh's movies. He has previously directed Raj Tarun's Anubhavinchu Raja.
